Garlic Miso Shrimp

Sometimes we just crave a little seafood, and this is such a simple dish with beautiful presentation and lots of big flavors. You can serve it on its own as an appetizer, or over rice with a side vegetable to make a full meal of it. We served ours with blistered peppers and a lime dipping sauce. Any way we do it, we love this recipe!

Serves 2-3

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb peeled and deveined large or jumbo shrimp, tail on
  • ½ stick butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbs miso paste
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 Tbs soy sauce
  • Large handful cilantro, chopped
  • Lime wedges

Preparation:

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add garlic and sauté for about 2-minutes. Add miso, honey, and soy sauce and stir well. When mixture is hot, add shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally until the shrimp are pink. Remove Add cilantro and serve in bowl with lime wedges.
